“Made at Home” concludes its third training for women in Akkar || Newspapers (Arabic)

The Made at Home association completed its third training workshop in the village of Qabe’it in Akkar in the framework of its project for economic empowerment of women in rural areas.  A group of women were trained in manufacturing various food products according to HACCP requirements and international health and safety standards. The products were showcased during an event attended by key personalities from the region as well as municipal heads and mayors.

The municipal head of Qabe’it Ahmad Darwish emphasized the importance of implementing community development projects especially targeting women in this marginalized and excluded area.  The president of the association, Wafa Abed, highlighted the importance of such of projects which aim at strengthening the bond between the local communities, particularly women, with their land and offer women the opportunity to market their products.
