95.5% of job seekers use online job sites

According to Bayt.Com, a leading jobsite portal in the region, 95.5% of job seekers use online job sites to find and apply for work. In its survey entitled, ‘Job seeker journey in the Middle East and North Africa’, Bayt. Com has shown that about 81.1% of respondents find jobs sites easy and user-friendly, against only 7.4% who indicated the opposite, and 11.5% who were neutral. The majority of respondents (83.4%) agreed that job sites allow them to find many relevant vacancies that match their background and experience, 7.7% were neutral and 8.9% against. When asked why online job sites are effective, nearly 66.2% said they were useful because they group all the vacant jobs into one easy-to-access place; 22.2% said they were useful because they help job surfers update their resumes and professional profile, as well as, help them track their applications and provide them with job alerts.
