Mother slays daughter in Khaldeh for “family reason”

In the latest incidents of violence against women, a Syrian mother killed her daughter in Khaldeh suburb of Beirut yesterday for family reason, as she admitted. After receiving a call about a crime, the Aramun Regional Gendarmerie Unit dispatched a patrol to the scene where they discovered the dead body of Syrian national T.H (female, 19 years) inside the house with her mother (38 years) sitting next to her. Upon investigation with the culprit, the mother confessed that she strangled her daughter with her own hands, administered an electric shock into her body and finished her crime by smothering her with a pillow.
