More violence against women: girl blackmailed, body of woman in Bar Elias

The ISF General Directorate- Public Relations, announced in a statement yesterday, that on July 17, 2019, the Judiciary Police Unit at the Cyber Crime Bureau received a complaint from a young woman to the competent judiciary charging an anonymous person with blackmail and threats. The complainant said the suspect contacted her via a fictitious Facebook account sending nude pictures of her and threatening to publish them if she did not respond to his requests to have sex with her in Tripoli. The Directorate statement went on to say, that upon follow up and surveillance, a judiciary police patrol managed to arrest M.M (Lebanese, born in 1985), who admitted to the blackmailing. The culprit confessed to have stolen the pictures of the girl from the phone of B.K (Lebanese, born in 1984) who had an affair with the plaintiff. On the same day, NNA reported the discovery of the body of the woman Sh. A (born in 1976) in a deserted off-road in Bar Elias, stabbed in her neck. The victim was transferred to a Beqaa hospital while the security forces opened an investigation into the crime. (Al Mustaqbal, July 23, 2019)
