The General Directorate of State Security in the Rashaya town of Bireh, arrested earlier this week a Lebanese father with the charge of sexually assaulting his daughter (born in 1998) together with another man who confessed to have filmed them and blackmailed the father in exchange for money. The culprits were referred to the competent justice through the Anti-Human Trafficking and Morals Protection Bureau, while the girl was handed over to KAFA organization. On the other hand, the ISF General Directorate- Public Relations Division, announced in a statement that on September 29, two women filed claims at Mreijeh in southern suburb Police Station reporting that their two underage daughters (born in 2004 and 2009) fled to an unknown destination and went missing. They filed an institution of civil action against an anonymous person to this effect. Following investigation and surveillance, the two girls were found the next day and were examined by a forensic doctor. In their testimonies, the girls admitted that the suspect, Lebanese, born in 1989, has met the eldest girl via whatsapp and lured them to visit him at home where he molested them. He admitted what he did and was referred to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Morals Protection Bureau at the Judicial Police for further interrogation. (An Nahar, October 2, 2019)
