2-6-2015

The head of the Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce Saleem Ze’nee announced the formation of a special committee to follow up on the ‘Startup Lebanon’ conference which was organized in cooperation with Startup Megaphone and held last week in New York City (for full report, go to http://bit.ly/1J8bqIV). Ze’nee noted that the aim of the follow up committee was to support emerging businesses and that it will seek to promote awareness among the youth on the nature and role of a startup business in boosting national economy. Speaking to Al Mustaqbal newspaper, he said Lebanon boasts creative and innovative talents that make the country a serious competitor in the industry of knowledge and technology, adding that startups can become the launching pad for such an undertaking, and a way for the future.
