Escaping to death

This movie highlights the increasing phenomenon of so-called suicide of migrant women domestic workers, and the pervasive racism in Lebanese society towards them and how they are exploited by employers, employment offices and law enforcement. The film was made by journalist Janine Jalkh and Al Jazeera Documentary and has won the public freedoms and human rights award.
