Description:

The Welfare Association, a leading organization supporting Palestinian development and relief efforts, is seeking an experienced and a highly skilled professional for immediate recruitment in Lebanon Office.
 

Key responsabilites:
  • Regular technical and administrative management of the project component(s) to be implemented in Lebanon.
  • Supervise the regular implementation of the activities as scheduled in the project proposal and coordinate the activities directly implemented by partners.
  • Participate in coordination meetings organized by international and local agencies
  • Report on the progress of the activities.
  • Support the Programs Manager in identifying and developing new project proposals.
  • Lead the budget plans, preparation and control expenditures.
  • Supervise and facilitate the implementation of needed logistics for visits, travel, etc... .
  • Maintain excellent relations with stakeholders internally and with partners and beneficiaries.
  • Supervise program and project implementation through:
  • Maintaining regular contact with beneficiary organizations and conduct regular field visits to program sites in Lebanon.
  • Soliciting and reviewing technical and financial reports from beneficiaries and following up on issues needing further clarifications or additional supporting documents.
  • Monitoring the implementation process to ensure the achievement of program / project deliverables in terms of both time and quality.
  • Ensuring proper program and project closure including the design and implementation of internal and external program evaluations.
  • Reporting:  Compiling full reports to Welfare Association & Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon according to required formats and procedures.
  • Assist in reporting for other projects funded by external donors when requested
Key competencies:
  • Very good command of written and spoken Arabic and English
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office package.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with people from different cultures, and backgrounds and abilityto deal with vulnerabilities
  • Experience required: 2 to 3 years
  • Education degree: At least BA
  • University degree in a field related to community development work (preferably in a field such as social work or education)
