Description:

 In the framework of a three-year project on inclusion of young children with special needs in primary schools in Lebanon, GVC (GRUPPO di VOLONTARIATO CIVILE) an Italian Organization is seeking to recruit a Special Education Coordinator to assist in coordinating, developing, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the IEP for each student with special needs.
 

Key responsabilites:
  • Coordinate and assist special needs educators working in inclusive regular primary schools
  • Monitor the inclusion of students with disabilities in regular schools in different areas in Lebanon
  • Perform educational assessment of students with special needs
  • Participate in team work, meetings, workshops or conferences directly related to the inclusion of students with disabilities in regular primary schools.
  • Supervising, assigning, coordinating and participating in the work of the head office in Beirut
Key competencies:
  • A bachelor degree in Special Education is a must
  • Previous experience in education field (preferably for 3 to 5 years)
  • Commitment to working with children with special needs
  • Highly motivated, with good inter-personal skills
  • The ability to work in a team
Contract terms:

Contract duration: 3 years
Salary: Between 1200 and 1500 USD based on experience-Part Time
While GVC is based in Beirut, Karakol al-Druze area, your job will require you to work in different regions in Lebanon.
