10% tax for recruiting “foreign artist” to work in Lebanon

The General Directorate of General Security announced in a statement yesterday that it will be enforcing a 10% tax on entry visa to be settled by artistic firms or commercial institutions recruiting foreign artists. This includes all artistic categories (excluding models, masseurs and night club workers). The concerned applicants should attach to the required documents, a receipt of the fee paid to the unified artists fund and a copy of the contract approved by the finance ministry.
