The Bader Group Youth Programme announced the launching of the Lebanese version of the international Start-up cup for emerging enterprises in collaboration with Audi Bank. The group revealed that the total value of the monetary and in kind prizes will reach around 100 million Lebanese pounds inviting project holders to submit their application by April 30th at the latest. Twelve projects will be selected for the semi-finals by May 7th. From May 17th to July 25th, these will go through a period of initiation and guidance which will lead to the selected of the seven finalists by July 30th. This will be followed by a second round of counseling and accompaniment from August 1st to November 5th during which the jury will make its final selection on the 12th of November. The three finalists will be nominated on the 19th of November to coincide with the holding of Networking 961 Forum which will be organised within the framework of the international week for business entrepreneurship.
In its press release, Bader indicated that the Start-up cup is an international programme endorsed by the American Kauffman Foundation which is known for its international support to business entrepreneurship. The press communiqué also notes that Lebanon will be the Arab second country to host the event thanks to the generous support of Audi Bank in addition to the collaboration of Bader’s strategic partners namely Lebanese Business Angels, MIT Enterprise Arab forum and Berytech.
