Ehdeniyat festival to promote rural tourism

The minister of tourism in the caretaker government, Avedis Guidanian, said that Ehdeniyat International Festival planned for this summer promotes rural tourism in particular. The commended efforts by event responsible, Rima Franjiyeh for inspiring the youth to build a progressive and efficient society, praising her faith in the tourism sector which is considered a basic pillar of the Lebanese economy. Guidanian was speaking on July 2nd when receiving an Ehdeniyat delegation which presented the festival’s program and outlined its aim to bring together the Lebanese people and encourage them to visit and learn more about Ehden. During the meeting, Ehdeniyat director, Pierre Saadeh, pointed out that the festival boasts a development nature which endorses rural tourism, noting that this year’s edition targets culture and serves the local community in particular and Lebanon as a whole. It also gives the young generation ample opportunities to generate fresh innovative and creative potentials. (Al Mustaqbal, July 3, 2018)
