As part of the environment week in Lebanon, and in coordination with the municipalities of Qob Elias and Wadi Dilm, Sawa Association for Development and the Association for Forests, Development and Conservation, the Future Movement’s Women’s Sector in Central Beqaa launched yesterday a campaign to plant 1000 trees in Qob Elias area. Students from various high schools and Qob Elias Public Elementary School in addition to the Scouts City of the town partook in the operation. Speaking on the occasion were, the Future Political Bureau member, Sawa president, Nawal Mdallali, the coordinator of women’s sector, Nahid Madi and the mayor of Qob Elias, Jihad Muallem. They underlined the importance of similar activities in raising awareness among students on the conservation of forestry wealth and the environment through protecting them and reducing the effects of pollution.
