Le Commerce du Levant highlighted the career life of the founding partner and associate at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Dubai, specialist in education and human capital development and responsible for diversity and inclusion for the Middle East and Europe. The BCG to note has some 16,000 employees worldwide and 550 employees in the Middle East, with a capital of USD 6.3 billion in 2017. Hoteit described the foreign consultancy division which she heads as male-dominated par excellence, pointing on the other hand, to the large number of females among young employees, who mostly prefer to quit work after their maternity leave to care for their children. Besides her work in consultancy, Hoteit said she focuses on the empowerment of women peers within BCG to encourage them to reach their full potential, particularly in view of the difficulties she faced during her journey. When she first started work, she had to balance motherhood and career, pointing out that firms normally were founded by men who retain privileged positions, and hence she had to persist in her efforts in order to get to where she is today.
