RDFL organised last week in collaboration with the House of Youth and Culture in Zouk Mikhael a training workshop on "women's public participation". The workshop took place over two days and was attended by women activists from the area of Kesrwan and its surroundings in addition to representatives of women organisations, members of political parties and municipal councils.
The workshop focused on several themes namely: women's political participations as stipulated in international conventions, the issue of women's quotas, challenges that women face in political life, and was organised within the framework of a project funded by the Swedish NGO, Kvinna till Kvinna, and aiming to empowering women to participate in national policies and in political parties.
