Workshop on mooneh preparation in Jabal Amel

The Union of Municipalities of Jabal Amel organized a workshop on Saturday focusing on the preparation of rose syrup, eggplant pickles and other traditional mouneh items. This comes as part of a project to support women and complete courses provided by the Union that are mainly related to agri-food and mouneh industries. Some 20 women beneficiaries learned the basics of healthy cost effective home-made foods that ensure food safety standards, as well as the possibility of turning these skills into serious small industries that offer women additional financial gains and create new jobs.
