Key responsabilites:

The post-holder will coordinate the implementation of local activities within the ECCD programme. These include:

  • Organising the logistics of local events and activities
  • Taking minutes of meetings and ensuring the follow up on action points
  • Following up on reports, capacity building processes, resource production, etc...
  • Conducting field visits if required by the programme

•        Conduct field visits as needed to support Justice Without Frontiers communications;
 

•        Develop tools and content to support and raise the visibility of JWF’S program on  women access to Justice on all communication channels (digital, audiovisual, print, etc.);
 

•        Share regular content updates based on program developments (announcements, article links, stories, visuals, news and events);
 

•        Support the coordination with the press and key media players on a regular basis.

 

Key competencies:

Experience required: 3 to 5 years

 

Education degree: No Degree Required

 

Field of education: Minimum of 2 years experience for holders of a Masters Degree or 4 years for holders of a Bachelors Degree. The experience should be working in the Lebanese media environment, either as a journalist or as a media officer, with a proven record of generating media coverage. Strong writing skills, preferably with a history of writing for media, and ability to produce quality communication materials within tight deadlines. Strong organizational and personal management skills, with ability to priorities work issues to meet deadlines. Strong social media skills (e.g. using websites/Twitter/blogs); Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships.

Immediate Recruitment: PROJECT OFFICER

Key responsabilites:
  • Ensures, promotes and facilitates that the principles of gender justice is integrated into all project activities.
     
  • Provide leadership in the implementation of all aspects of the project and ensure attainment of key objectives of the project, as outlined in the project document.
     
  • Ensure that JWF director is regularly updated on the progress of the projectand any issues that might impede the successful implementation of the project.
     
  • Prepare regular management and operational reports covering the achievement of key milestones agreed in plans.
     
  • Elaborate concept notes, projects proposals according to donors’ templates and requirements.
     
  • Regular monitoring of the project implementation through monitoring field visits.
     
  • Support monitors and evaluation efforts to document project outputs, outcomes, and impact to inform donor and other internal reporting.
     
  • Assist in filing and record keeping of project activities.
     
  • Assist in analysis of data collected to facilitate assessment results and lessons learnt.

    Budget Responsibilities:
  • Manage, monitor and review operational budgets covering all aspects of the project on a monthly basis, explaining any over or under-expenditures.
     
  • Ensure corrective action is taken across all targeted locations based on budget, expenditure and forecast.
     
  •  Ensure that resources are correctly allocated  and spent as per agreed plans of operation.


    Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning:
  •  Work with all stakeholders to ensure that there is regular, participatory review and reflection on successes and challenges in order to improve effectiveness, share good practice and increase impact of the program.
     
  •  Ensure effective systems are in place to gather and analyse information on programme outputs and outcomes at all levels.
Key competencies:

Skills and competence:

  • MA degree in development, gender, protection and/or any other relevant fields.
     
  •  Significant demonstrable experience of management of multidimensional, complex, donor-funded program.
     
  • Fluency in written/spoken Arabic and English.
     
  • Gender development, protection background and/or women’s right background.
     
  • Understanding/experience of program implementation principles and their practical application - gained internationally and/or in the region in the NGO sector.
     
  • Successful track record of developing and delivering innovative program that deliver practical results for poor people.
     
  • Ability to form trusting, effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
     
  • Line management experience.
     
  • Highly flexible in style with the ability to produce creative and pragmatic solutions to complex/ambiguous operational problems.
     
  • Experience of working in a multicultural team environment with both national/global staff.
     
  • Experience of working in insecure environments and adhering to security protocols.
     
  • Experience in protection and accountability program.
     
  • Prepared to undertake regular travel to offices in the field.
